This volunteer program is for foreign students who are interested in community work and making a positive contribution during their stay in Yakutsk. Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program helps young people who face serious adversity whether it may be emotional or a physical disability. Many who are just hungry for friendship, guidance and acceptance.
By positively changing the course of a young person’s life, Big Brothers, Big Sisters can build resilience and a sense of self-worth that helps them to stay in school, learning languages or being friends to those kids in need.
By connecting a disadvantaged child to a positive role model we can break the cycle of disadvantage.
We make agreements with different organizations such as schools for kids with disabilities, orphanages, etc. that will facilitate our program.
